I’m a social person enjoying the noise of people around me, though I require access to the countryside for an occasional hike or picnic.
Teaching English in the most densely populated region of Madagascar, known for its intensive agricultural practices, was a challenge from the beginning. After eight months of developing relevant lesson plans, teaching night school, and leading Saturday morning conversational classes I now find myself back in Denver.
I miss my students, my friends, and the nuances of city-living in Madagascar, but my time there was done. I am a richer person from the experiences.
